You can always contribute to a traditional Ira up to $5k if you're under 50 regardless of your 401k. What he may be talking about is that you can't deduct your contributions from taxes. People who don't participate in qualified retirement plans can deduct contributions to a traditional Ira. ...

2 that aren't necessarliy my favorites but always make me laugh and coincidentally are from Nick Cage movies.... "I'd take pleasure in guttin' you boyyy" and "Put....the bunny...back in the box."...
I know it isn't based on actual events or anything so this might not apply to this thread, but the West Wing is one of my favorite shows ever....
