I've been binge watching 24 and now I'm on season 7. Is this going to be a shite season? No more ctu, woman president and Jack being prosecuted? What happened to Wayne Palmer? This seems like it was only months from season 6.

it's still good because it's still 24, and it takes place nearly 4 years after Season 6. If you're lost, you should watch "24: Redemption" which takes place in between Seasons 6 and 7. It gives you necessary back story on the villains for this season.

Should I do that before 7? I'm on episode 1.

Definitely. I think it's only a couple of hours long.

This. Otherwise you will be completely lost for a while.

Is there any other oddities like this moving forward? Like is there anything between 7 and 8? Is live another day after 8 and is that the final?

Nothing between 7 and 8, unless I'm forgetting something. Live another day is after 8, and that's it for now.

If you haven't already learned how to suspend your disbelief and just enjoy it all, then just give up now because it doesn't get any better on this front.

Nope

Yes and yes. Also, Live Another Day is outstanding because Jack Baier teams up with ________, and it's awesome. I don't want to spoil it for you because it's just so damn amazing. The villain played by _______ that season is pretty cool as well.

I thought Redemption was excellent. You'll be glad you watched it.

As a whole, I really enjoyed Season 7. Without giving too much away, I liked the different kind of conspiracy/threat that presented itself. There were the inevitable dumb story lines but overall it was one of my favorites.

Sorry, misunderstanding. I meant redemption being the oddity that it was a movie in between the seasons.

If you made it through Season 6, you have seen the worst the show will get. Season 7 and 8 play it pretty safe and deliver a pretty solid package.

It's a shame that the epic Jack Fayed showdown had to take place in such a bad season

i will say the biggest disappointment for me about the show was what happened at the end of season 5 and into season 6.

dude was straight up kidnapped by the chinese and they practically abandoned that storyline for the next season.

I gave up on the show after Season 7 due to how it ended.

I was just annoyed with the chinese. How can they do that kind of stuff without waging war? The guy was an official chinese representative. I might learn about Jack in Redemption but damn, leave the dude alone. They gave him to Fayed and he complied then does everything needed to get Fayed and everyone else but they are trying to indict him!? Messed up.
