Thanks for the reply... It won't be in New Orleans, either Mandeville or Covington .... Not sure if that'll make a difference. One of the private schools she applied to listed 1st yr salaries between 28-32k, but within 5-8 yrs you'd be close to what public school teachers make. ...

My wife is going back to work next fall as a teacher and was curious how much private/catholic school teachers get paid? This would be in the Mandeville/Covington area. I obviously know it's less than public school teachers, but what would be a good ballpark #?...

I actually work for them and am up here in Duncan for some training right now. I started as a field engineer in Lafayette.... but now work in the office in nola. Sounds like your interviewing for more of a R&D position vs true field engineer. I don't know much about their structure. Good company tho...

DW.... I'd try to get into the field operating professional (fop) program. Pretty much a fast track to become an offshore Cementer now. They make good money and eventually down the road you can prob do something in the office. FYI offshore jobs are a lot better than land jobs. ...
