re: Last night's plate umpire

It's definitely a conspiracy. Anyone that knows anything about baseball knows that the ump was consciously calling the strikes different for the Tigers. What else could it be. The game has been closely evaluated by the experts and they've assured us that the Umps unquestionably called the game in di...
I'm not a fan of the beads, but I'm much less a fan of fans wearing steer horns and over sized cowboy hats to games....
Yeah, we could have possibly done more, but we would have had to try a hell of a lot harder than Texas to do the same thing.
So, as far as you're concerned, for some unknown reason, the ump consciously called the game different for LSU? I'm hearing this from a minute few, but with ...

I don't know, man. To subscribe to this theory is assuming quite a bit about the ump. The strike zone looked pretty inconstant to me as well, but for both teams. I guess it is possible that the ump is "conspiring" to give Texas the series. What else could it be; the guy just couldn't get it right wh...

Rumel, ma by I missed your point when you posted this.
For the same reason that many UT fans did it on Monday night.
My point was that, imo we were not throwing the team under the buss. Texas fans were not really saying that our guys were "not hitting" "not pitching" and etc. As...

For the most part, Texas fans were not "throwing" the Horns under the bus. They played one hell of a game and that was recognized. There was more criticism in regards to various pitching changes that were made as well as pulling a couple of our power hitters out. The only thing that I saw negative i...

Yeah, it's a little early to start fabricating the excuses. LSU could still pull it out, in which case you won't have to worry about it, and if Texas does win you'll have all night tonight and the rest of tomorrow for the excuses....

Ruf looks completely gassed! Surprised that he was effective as he was for the last 4 or 5 batters....
ump's calling it both ways. LSU will have to handle it the same way that Texas has....
Kevin Keyes Carlton Banks I have to admit, I've been trying to remember who that cat reminded me of. Good catch there....
That's certainly true to a degree....

Yes, Austin is a horrible place with horrible people. Whatever you do, stay away from this hell hole. Very, very bad....
If half of what is said on this board is even remotely true, I would say that LSU has little or no excuse for not taking Texas in two by a margin of at least 15 to 20 runs per game. That's my prediction....
