Now that you mention it... I don't think LP has any digital billboards. LOL
Hey, now, we have ONE! On the left as you turn from Juban onto Florida. That may be the only one, though!...
Damn. I'd love to hear some juicy LP stories from the 70s/80s. I live in an old neighborhood so theres no telling what used to go down.
Like Jeanne Re's compound in Walker? Start a new post, some folks will tell you stories. '89-91 or so....
Not hearing much chatter around Ard suddenly dropping into the conversation with the LPN editor a remark about an OCS investigation occurring after the creepy sleepover. We know Nak reads this. Lots of questions: is it true at all, is the fact there was one more entity investigating this situatio...
I think the interview with Nakimoto hasn't gone live yet, it was over a half hour long....
In light of recent revelations, this needs to be rescinded. And, he wrote children's books?! http://legiscan.com/LA/text/SR31/id/293458...
The story hit the paper today in Bury St. Edmunds where Rogers' UK dance school was located. It has more details of the charges against him and the media coverage at the time. http://www.buryfreepress.co.uk/news/local/latest-news/exclusive-controversial-former-bury-st-edmunds-dance-teacher-shot-...
Two guys from the UK called Jim Engster's show this morning and said that Rogers molested them -- one when the guy was just 11, and that he had to go through years of therapy for PTSD. Said Rogers would become violent if you refused his advances. Not much info on his Twitter but may be worth check...

Hi, all! 1. The WAFB story on the Bellemont is supposed to run tonight at 10. If you miss it, it'll be on their website tomorrow. 2. I set up a Facebook group for the Bellemont, for people who want to share pictures and stories, to ask questions, to research the mural and its artist, etc. ...

Went back to the Bellemont today, for what I'm thinking will be the last time for me. Rick Portier from WAFB came along, as did Colleen from AbandonedBatonRouge. I took more pics and am adding them to the flickr account, rearranging them so the 1957 pictures I got from the library are next to th...

I wish! I don't think I do, at least, it wasn't the focal point in any of them (the best I can tell, without scanning them) -- it could have been in a background shot, though. Rick from WAFB has the slides right now to see if there's something he can use for his piece and then he's going to return...

Olegreg -- I'm so glad you got the mural! I was afraid it was lost forever. I have been going into the Bellemont the last two weekends in a row, and am going back tomorrow with Colleen from AbandonedBatonRouge. The other owner of the demo company, Charlie, took me on a tour on Mother's Day and ...
