I have USAA on both my houses. Pay $2600/yr on the one in BR we're about to sell. One in Virginia is worth twice as much and we only pay $1100/yr there....
Put ours on market in Riverbend by LSU April 9th, had 3 offers in 2 days and we close May 22nd. My neighbor put his on April 8th, had three showings the first day an is under contract to sell. Location is key, new LSU professors sign contracts in the end of April, looking for places to move....
I've had a mid-range Bosch for years and love it. Can't hear it run, dishes come out clean and dry. But they aren't for all locations and water quality issues. Talk to plumbers and repairmen to find out what brand works best in your area. Some brands do better with hard or soft water....
Thank you for an intelligent, informed opinion. Must have struck a nerve because you don't have any of the mouth breathers calling you stupid or democrat or gay....

Scott Fence in BR replaced some of my cedar fencing and installed a remote control 12' powder-coated aluminum swing gate on our driveway. ~$6000, was about 60' of cedar fence. The drought made the gate sag a few inches, but since it was less than a year they came reset the posts free....

1-2. Kinda surreal talking to nurse and doc on a dopey valium high while seeing puffs of smoke come from sack as they cauterize the cut tubes....

re: Uber/Lyft are worthless now

I agree. Drove myself to BTR two weeks ago and left my car parked 9 days for $81 because an Uber from my house in Riverbend to BTR (13 miles) was $54. Knew I wouldn't get a $26 fare home to beat the parking price....

Nope, plant worker on shift. Can't stand the masks. Have enough brain cells left to recognize a cult leader playing on uneducated people's basest instincts and prejudices....

Trump 24 stickers. Using a bunch of gumps to pay his legal bills and he's laughing all the way to the bank. Unless he ends up in jail....

re: Anybody here own a Honda Odyssey?

We have a 2017 Odyssey SE, ~60K miles. Van is a beast for hauling the family and stuff (we have 4 kids) on long trips. Put an AGM battery in for all the stuff on the van (DVD, power doors, kids leaving lights on). The transmission issue is real, called "judder" if you want to Google it. Isn't pr...

Wife and I bought same model in 2005 also. Still going strong for us too. Have changed 1 belt in bottom. Only complaint is we changed the hose a few times, starts splitting after a few years....
I agree. Don't have much faith in their internet/computer skills. Don't think the will to dig is there either. This board would probably get much better results in that sort of task....
PERP UPDATE Wife had lunch with victim today. Victim plays a phone game called Pikmin where you "plant" virtual flowers while you walk/run. The Perp stole her cell phone. She was playing at time of attack. The perp stole her phone, and the game planted a flower trail from the attack location to th...
Thanks. I've since learned that her breaking his nose is what prevented the rape. He was on top and lost his erection due to the nose breaking. She stupidly tried to attack him more out of rage and that's when she was beaten up worse....
My bad. When my wife went see her in the hospital she was still in shock and didn't have a working memory of the attack. She has a much better memory of the event now and gave that description to police. She passed him on the trail and they said a generic hi to each other and he doubled back to h...
Wife and I know the victim well. It was white on white crime actually. If anyone can push the police or BREC to acknowledge it, get the word out so people can protect themselves, the victim and her family/friends would greatly appreciate it. ...
