re: The Revivalist , Wish I new you - npersa1
lol is this like some meme level hating or something? I've never met him or anything, but the two or three times I've see the Revivalist, I didn't think "man, that singer is a douche" or anything close to that... He seemed like he was enjoying the concert, his voice sounded fine and I enjoyed th...

re: The Revivalist , Wish I new you - npersa1
Can y'all fill me in on the background here? All I know is I see people here posting that one picture of him and generally complaining about his stage presence? idk. I dig his voice, love the songs and have really enjoyed their shows. Give them another (or first) chance. ...

Futurebirds at the Varsity (BR) on Sat. Aug. 27 - npersa1
Anybody going to this one? I was able to make it to BR last weekend to help out and am coming back in town this weekend, so I figure I'll catch the Futurebirds while I'm there. I've seen them a handful of times, and they're definitely worth seeing...

re: New Anders LP - npersa1
just was hoping that SS and the horns would have joined AOB on stage at some point.
They played at least three songs with Anders -- full SS and DB for the "Friend of the Devil" closer, and then x2 horns on an earlier song + a harmonica player blowing down on another. I wish coul...

If y'all have the chance to see him this tour, do it. He rocked Saturday night in Austin. He did play "Charlie Parker," and he did an awesome cover of "Friend of the Devil" as the closer with the opening act playing alongside him (Sister Sparrows ...

re: New Anders LP - npersa1
A friend was at his show in New Orleans last night and said it was awesome. Though I'd love to hear Charlie Parker, I'd really be alright without it as long as some of the other older stuff is mixed into the setlist too. My main concern was that this show I'm going to is gonna be slow, but the c...

re: New Anders LP - npersa1
I got tickets to see him this weekend in ATX, and after listening to that album, all I can say is I hope he doesn't play too much of it or he translates it to a live show in a far different manner than presented on the album. I listened twice through and none of the songs jumped out at me. It's ...
