I drove my 1996 Jeep Cherokee Sport everyday until 2018 so 22 years. Still have it but it's basically sitting up now. 140k miles.
Bastard left me sitting on side of road more than I can count and basically every part around the engine block has been replaced but still running.
Hard to kill...

I agree, it's a lot of work to pick.
Best you can do is like the poster above said, pick a highly rated system and find an installer you like and use them forever to service if you can.
At the end of the day, a complete new system will have 10 year warranty so the most important part will be...

We have 2 Carrier Infinity systems on our 3700 sq ft house. I really like the units, cools down to whatever temp I want in a living room with giant cathedral ceiling in the hottest months and run stages efficiently.
My only issue is they are pretty complicated systems and expensive repairs so fa...

Moved to Covington 6 years ago, basically different carriers every year, especially after Ida.
3700 sq ft, insured for $700k on dwelling, It's $4200 this year through Homesite. Last year was $2800 through Homesite.

We've had several expensive ones and for the last 5 years we've only purchased OKP K2's from Amazon. $80, gets up same amount if not more hair from our 4 dogs, dirt etc.
Have recommended to several friends and family and they agree.

We always left about 9 pm, I drove straight through. Get to the area about 7 am or so, go to an IHOP near the parks. Eat, change the kids, drink coffee....go straight to the park for Day 1.
