I had someone thank me for my service at a memorial event yesterday and politely responded while thanking them I was here to pay respect for those who died in service and their heroic sacrif...

I served in the USMC during the years of 1983-87 and we lost people in training accidents some of the best people on the earth decent, capable, hard chargers who would have held viable lives of matter.
I lost an older cousin in Vietnam which was the reason for my enlisting.
