Going to Thailand. Leave end of December and will be there until January 10th. Flying into Bangkok and trying to plan an itinerary. Eyeing Phuket and Chiang Mai as possible destinations. Any help, suggestions, or insights on things to do or things/places to avoid would be greatly appreciated. ...

I've got a flight flying out of MSY on Thursday morning that has a layover in houston before heading to its final destination. Feel like I'm stuck between a rock and hard place on this one.
