re: Will I die if I fly Breeze Airways?

No, no frills flights. They service slightly smaller less desirable cities. I've flown 2-3 times and no issues. ...

I have 4 kids from 30 down to 22. Oldest 2 are married and support themselves. Another is getting married this year and moving out. Youngest will be at home for the next couple of years. They are self supporting, except for housing. ...

re: Poling skiffs in Louisiana

I used to follow this guy on YouTube and he's a fairly popular LA fisherman who fishes the march but also some open water. He did a video on why he bought his poling skill, the Ankona Cayenne, it's here https://youtu.be/HULVQKwbc20?feature=shared They are made in a family owned small fab shop ...
Phonics was a tried and true method of learning to read. Why they ever moved away from it was ridiculous. My kids went to a private school that used it. Now my grandkids go. They all learn to read. It’s impressive to see 4 yr olds begin to sound out words, read signs while driving. Also, when ...

This will be a spiritual answer so skip if you want. The solution is not to work on your anger but to increase your self-control. Self-control is a fruit of the Spirit from Gal. 5:22-23. It is grown in us by the Holy Spirit through our growing relationship to Him. A lot more could be shared he...
NO way, I spent to much for it so I hang it upside down from hooks in the garage space. ...
It's such a small school they don't field a football team. They have been pretty good at baseball and basketball but not championship caliber. I think the area likes it that way. ...

Ego, have 1 acre with carport, driveway and 800sq ft patio. Love it....
That having children would be the most frustrating while at the same time the most rewarding thing. Keep in mind that you are raising them to leave and be on their own, not to stay. Always begin your parenting by asking, What is my end goal? You want your kids to become the kind of people that y...
I attended LSU in the fall of 1979, so the following spring I would ride my bike out to the baseball field. I knew nothing about it at all. I could ride up to the stadium at game time, walk in on a student ID and sit directly behind home plate 10 -12 rows up. No one attended. I believe Skip was h...
If someone or something else has more influence over my 7 yr old child than I do, then I'm reevaluating my parenting philosophy. I reevaluating everything!...

re: Does your water service suck?

Posted by hofman on 1/4/23 at 1:12 pm
Yes, but they have made strides to be better. We were without power and water for one of the hurricanes, and looked at the bill and were being charged a "generator" fee. We asked why are we w/o water? They made it happen fairly soon. We are on a small service to just about 75 or so homes on a bigg...

I thought about using the "skylift hardware" mounts but my contractor friend persuaded me to against it. I didn't want any "holes" in my roof. They definitely would make for a better look, not having to use any type of pole on the house side. I was able to position the poles on the house side so th...

I just finished a project exactly like that, but it's 23' wide and 39' long(along the side of the house). I do get some water in during a rain, but haven't tried a remedy yet. I have a gutter and it doesn't prevent water from coming in. I am planning to tie my into my house in order to stabilize ...
