Not taking away from Bama...but I don't think this team is better than last years.

But how they beat a national name, and a ton of alumni in the northeast which is a ton of media, will this very good Bama team be overrated because they beat a good Notre Dame team?

This is a dynasty, no doubt, but the USC team that beat Oklahoma 55-19 was exponentially better, IMO

Did UF's or LSU's similar thrashings of Ohio State bump them into that same status?

This was also a down year in college football in my opinion. Bama's defense made LSU's passing game look somewhat competent this season.

No doubt this is a dynasty. I take nothing away from the dynasty. I just meant this one team in particular. I hate Alabama more than anyone but the biggest hater can't take away from Saban being the best.
I just don't want this team being considered the best by beating a overrated Notre Dame team.

That USC team would not have lost at home to A&M, Jack. shite, Bama barely beat LSU. USC annihilated everyone that year. Best college football team I've seen since the Nebraska teams of the 90's. Bama's defense was good this year, but not historically great. They allowed Mettenberger to carve them up. Do you really think they could have stopped that pro-style offense? This Bama team couldnt hold that USC team's jockstrap

No they wouldn't have. Those SC teams were Bama of last year with a passing game that would torch you also.

You're clearly basing your perception off of Leinart's failure as a pro QB (as if McCarron will do any better, let alone start a game in the NFL). Leinart was one of the most prolific passing QB's in NCAA recent history. are you 16 or something? Leinart and Co would have passed all day on this Bama d.

Amen. Bama has an efficient passing game. Nothing more. USC was ridiculous. bama not even in the same class in terms of passing
