re: Anyone have any experience with semi-pro football? - wolfhawk71
[link=(http://espn.go.com/espn/otl/story/_/id/8307997/why-men-dave-coleman-jr-willing-risk-much-play-semi-pro-football)]LINK[/link] That's an article (very long) that goes along with the video. From what I understand most leagues do not provide insurance so you're on your own if you get hurt....

re: Anyone have any experience with semi-pro football? - wolfhawk71
[link=(http://espn.go.com/video/clip?id=8310941)]LINK[/link] It was featured on ESPN's Outside the Lines recently. Not something I'd even remotely consider. Probably totally different depending where you're at but that video can give you some kinda idea about what semi-pro football really is....

re: Who agrees that a true free market healthcare system would be best? - wolfhawk71
If health insurance is not provided in any form by government or employers I'd imagine ~50% would not purchase it and thus costs for everyone go up higher than what they are now. Unless you turn people away from emergency rooms and I don't see where that's going to be allowed. In my opinion, you'd h...

re: Miami Zombie was not on bath salts - wolfhawk71
He still may have been on "bath salts". The substances that people generally take and consider them "bath salts" range widely in what substance and how much of that substance is actually in the package. It could have been something he took thinking it was an amphetamine like substance and actually t...

re: Is tom brady the GOAT - wolfhawk71
Brady had a lot to do with the 2nd and 3rd Super Bowls but the first one he was basically along for the ride. He threw 1 TD in the postseason that year. As far as his short passes, here's something interesting. [link=(http://www.takeosports.com/pls/apex/f?p=TAKEOSPORTS:blog_entry:0::::P8_ID_BLOG:73...

re: The Legacy of Tom Brady - wolfhawk71
Matt Cassel put up good numbers in the New England system and he is an average (at best) NFL QB. I'm not impressed by the way Brady throws the ball. He is the best QB ever at the 5-10 yard pass....

re: The Legacy of Tom Brady - wolfhawk71
Bring some substance with your bull shite next time. Brady's game has never impressed me and I hate to watch the Patriots play because of the way their offense is designed. Eli made some great throws and I didn't see ANY all night from Brady....

re: The Legacy of Tom Brady - wolfhawk71
Brady throws 5 yard outs, curls, and slants and a lot of check-downs to RBs out of the backfield. That's why he completed 15 in a row. He gets too much credit for doing too little. He threw 2 passes down the field on back to back plays to Welker which was a bad pass and would've had to be a great ca...

re: Can you spot the NFL HOF Quarterback? - wolfhawk71
[quote]I have no problem whatsoever with this take. I agree 100%. In fact, I understand why he is in the HOF based on this. Just don't try to convince me that he's in for his greatness as a player because he just doesn't measure up.[/quote] Personally, I don't care if he's in the HOF or not, I ...

re: Can you spot the NFL HOF Quarterback? - wolfhawk71
Its the Hall of Fame, not the hall of dominant stats. Namath is in for SB III and effectively legitimizing the AFL. If he were up for election now, no way he gets in, but the year he did get in the voters obviously felt that his impact on the game was Hall of Fame worthy....

re: will the Peyton nuthuggers pull for the Colts over the Saints? - wolfhawk71
So if someone has been a Colts fan since Manning has been with the Colts and now all of a sudden pulls for the Saints you're cool with that? That would the textbook definition of bandwagon fan....

re: anyone here been on Medrol Dosepak (methylprednisolone) - wolfhawk71
I went to Ochsner in BR. I don't remember the doctor's name right off hand but they did tell me that it was an impingement that I had and they were going to try to make some more room for shoulder joint to move more freely. As far as the Medrol goes, I tried that before the surgery with no luck i...

re: anyone here been on Medrol Dosepak (methylprednisolone) - wolfhawk71
I had arthroscopic shoulder surgery and saw absolutely no improvement so I would recommend not going that route. Your problem may be completely different than mine though and surgery might really help in your case. Shoulders tend to be tough to fix from what I have heard and from personal experience...
