Grill some potatoes. Wash and leave skin on. Cut in rounds and drizzle with olive oil, salt and pepper. Place on grill and grill until light brown and crispy on both sides. Really good!...

All I use is Veron's smoked sausage and andouille...it is worth the extra cost....

Anyone else making them for Halloween? I just made a batch. You've got to be quick with the candy coating. It starts to get hard really quick. Anyway, I made them to mail to my kids who are living with their Dad in TX this school year. They miss my homemade treats!!!...

I am one to ALWAYS check the expiration date on everything. I have never run into a problem where something was stale. And my kids are old enough to notice if it was stale. And I do stick to brand name foods...not dollar general brands....

I buy my kids snack foods at Dollar Store- cookies, jello, pudding, chips, fruit cups, granola bars, etc. Cereal is also cheap. And sometimes I can find decent Birthday/Holiday cards there for 50 cents a piece....
Buy several pounds of ground beef or ground turkey. Divide it in three - about 1 lb each. You could make a ground meat spaghetti gravy with 1 lb, a chili for hotdogs or nachos with 1 lb, and taco meat for tacos. And if 1 lb isn't enough in each recipe, just increase to 2 lbs. You could also do...
Lately on Sundays, I cook three meals for the week and they usually last the whole week. If anyone doesn't want what I cooked, they just eat a sandwich. We also stock up on all kinds of meat when they go on sale....
