almost incited a bench clearing brawl, constantly stared down the umps and pitchers, and the final straw was arguing balls and strikes by drawing a line in the dirt trying to tell the umpire where the pitch was.....that last one got him tossed and suspended for 2 games which his team lost [/q...

Catchers and the MLB draft

Posted by JonBearrrr on 6/7/10 at 10:32 am
whoass... mlb.com has a clip on catchers in the draft playing now.. out of the first 5 talked about, NO Gibbs.. what gives??? of course, all they could talk about was 'hitting', very little discussion about defense, other than the say the #1 guy will need 'training' to catch at the next lever.. ...
does he have the highest OBP?
Austin (390) and Gaudet (363) are the only 'regular' starters below 400.. fyi: Katz is 400 and Edward is 389 (they don't have enuff AB's to be in list with the 7 'regulars').. what I couldn't find was the percentages with 2 outs or with runners i...
ULL might even host a super, especially if Arizona or Baylor wins the TCU regional.
Can you spell "TEXAS" ?? :spank:...
two reasons... 1 - you 'see' more pitches and get a read on him, making things happen in later at bats.. as just happened in the 3rd.. 2 - the more he throws early, the quicker he is out of the game.....
thinking this is the same game, where he got 'tossed' later and was seen in the 'tunnel' in the stands.. got into it with a fan.. jerk...

re: Coach M on 690 NOLA now

Posted by JonBearrrr on 6/3/10 at 10:55 am
It has always been a torn in my side that reporters thing they should call a Coach by his first name like they are best buds.. In an interview, especially on air, he is "Coach", not Paul.....

re: Polls or RPI

Posted by JonBearrrr on 6/3/10 at 10:52 am
Simple answer: both.. But the fact is polls are subjective opinions and RPI is misleading.. but they have to 'rate' the teams somehow.. shrugs.....

Having been around baseball for more years than I can remember, there is no doubt that Hanover is the 'hustle' King.. I've seen no one play with the enthusiasm that he does.. Will he and Nola go down in LSU history as the best SS/2b combo ever???? They've got my vote.. :geauxtigers: ...
