Mickelson might have the biggest gap between public persona and actual personality. He's pretty much universally hated by other players and he's got a pretty clear track record of being a degenerate.

It always takes me 20-30 pages to get into the rhythm of McCarthy's writing, but he really was one of a kind.

I don't think any of the communist takeovers of the 20th century were grassroots movements, i.e. had a majority support. Russia, China, Cuba, Eastern Europe, Viet Nam, Cambodia, etc were all engineered by a minority.

The British people need to ask: what is the purpose of the police? It's not enforcing the law, keeping public order, protecting life and property, or serving the community. Based on their actions they exist to enforce the will of the political class, full stop. They have evolved into a 1984 type politcal enforcement arm.
