I haven't seen it since the time it came out.

"Where'd you get that new gun?"

"At the gettin' place"

Nobody does dialogue better than the Coen Bros.

I know a lot of it comes from the McCarthy book here but they still put their magical stamp on everything they write and direct.

One of the very few instances where the movie is better than the book.

I'd honestly rank it on my top 10 all time best movies list. It's pretty much a perfect movie to me.

(About Chiguhr) Well, just how dangerous is he?

Compared to what? Like the bubonic plague?

Kelly Macdonald was a cute little number in that movie. The way she said "I ain't gonna leave you in the lurrrch" made me want to take her in the back and screw her

Good movie. It's on YouTube free with ads. Had it on Friday in the background while working.

Legendary film. It was great in 2007 and still great today. It'll be great in 2050.

In this case almost all of it is word for word from Cormac McCarthy. What the Coens did with the dialogue is just not screw it up. They did a great job with the casting, cinematography, and editing the book down (though I wish they'd kept a couple of things they deleted). Great movie.

ETA:

Deputy Wendell: Well, it's a mess, ain't it Sheriff?
Sheriff Ed Tom: ... If it ain't, it'll do 'til the mess gets here.

Sheriff Ed Tom: It sounded like these old boys died of natural causes.
Deputy Wendell: How's that, Sheriff?
Sheriff Ed Tom: Natural to the line of work they was in.

Carson: You go to hell.
Chigurh: Nnnn... alright. Let me ask you sumn': if the rule you followed... brought you to this... of what use was the rule?

Not included in the movie - Sheriff Bell speaking. “Here a year or two back me and Loretta went to a conference...I got set next to this woman...she kept talkin about the right wing this and the right wing that. I aint even sure what she meant by it...She kept on, kept on. Finally told me, said: I dont like the way this country is headed. I want my granddaughter to be able to have an abortion. And I said well mam I dont think you got any worries about the way the country is headed. The way I see it goin I dont have much doubt but what she'll be able to have an abortion. I'm goin to say that not only will she be able to have an abortion, she'll be able to have you put to sleep. Which pretty much ended the conversation.”

No soundtrack to that movie. Just nothing. Made it that much stranger.

One thing that always bothers me. The movie is set in 1980 but those snacks behind them are clearly in 2000s era packaging.

This times a million

I watch NCFOM at least every year or two and bask in its greatness.

The only Coen Bros film with better dialogue is Miller’s Crossing.

One of my top 5 movies of all time. The whole Moss and Wells exchange is incredible and hilarious.

Carson Wells : You've seen him, and you're not dead?
Llewelyn Moss : What's this guy supposed to be, the ultimate badass?
Carson Wells : No, I wouldn't describe him as that.
Llewelyn Moss : How would you describe him?
Carson Wells : I guess I would say he doesn't have a sense of humor. His name is Chigurh.
Llewelyn Moss : Sugar?
Carson Wells : Chigurh, Anton Chigurh. Do you know how he found you?

I just listened to the Novel on Audible the dialog was straight out of the book. The Cohen Brother kept it extremely close to the original source material
