“When I hear that word [collective] I kind of cringe right now and I hear the stories behind it that they’re going to go to donors and boosters and ask for a lot of money and then decide who gets that money based on ability level," Meyer said.

"Which, I think is 1A of the rule of NIL, you can’t do that.”

Interesting to hear Meyer and Saban, two of the biggest cheaters in college football history, bash NIL, but they had not problem paying players when in was illegal that helped pull in the best players in the country every year!

NIL made it ok for every team to pay players. Before you were taking a risk if you were caught paying a player. So if you had sophisticated ways to pay players you had a huge advantage.
