Paul Abell-USA TODAY Sports
Earlier this week it was reported that Johnny Manziel signed with Lebron James' marketing company LRMR. The decision to sign with LRMR was a result of a relationship that James and Manziel built up over the past year.

According to James:
quote:

"We're happy we're able to be a friend of his and be able to help."

"He reached out to me when he was going through a lot of off-the-field things that I didn't really -- that I thought it was just overblown. He's not the only kid who went to a college frat party or the only college kid to have fun. But obviously he's Johnny Manziel, so it is blown out of proportion."

"When the opportunity was brought to me, I just told him if he's willing to listen to my advice, I was willing to give it."

"I was texting him weekly, before the games and after the games. I didn't know it would lead to us being together with business, but I was happy to help."

LRMR is Marketing and Branding company based out of Cleveland, OH that James friend and long time bussiness partner Maverick Carter runs and operates. Carter has close ties with Nike and has negotiated numerous marketing deals for James over the past nine years.

Cant wait to see how Manziel's pro career turns out. Either way its never bad to be in business with Lebron and Co.
