Goodness, man!

I'm just not a fan of doing disney on the busy weeks. You seem to enjoy your time though. We just got back so we obviously won't be there, but here's hoping your trip is fun and smooth!

Everyone says it's busy, but I really don't find it's that bad. the only thing that gets real busy is table service dining due to the free meal plans. But the parks and the other stuff seems ok.

Did you all do the Mickey Christmas Party? I have never done that before and we are doing it this year.

Any other new stuff we should really make a point to do or see?

Wife is a huge Disney fan. We have been about a half dozen times in 12 years. She's been like 30.

We did the Christmas party. We loved it. Short lines. Different characters. Free hot chocolate and cookies throughout the park. Different fireworks and parade. Even though it starts at 7 you can get in at 4. My wife had us wear matching Christmas PJs so one of the pics in front of the castle will be our card sent out this year.

We usually do Disney Thanksgiving week but not this year. We love it during that time. I'm a little disappointed the Osborne lights are gone, that was one of my favorite things. We also cruised on the Disney Fantasy last Thanksgiving.

Same. Looking forward to seeing the projection show on the Chinese theater, but it won't be the same.

We were on the Disney Wonder out of Galveston.

We did Disney 4 years ago during Thanksgiving week.
Never again!! It was unbearable
I'm spoiled during the non-peak times so once I tried that I hated it.
My favorite time of year is a week or two after Thanksgiving

Did Thanksgiving a few years ago, never again.

Did Halloween and first week of November last year and we will be doing Mardi GRAS week in a few months.

Interesting. Well, I'll let y'all know how it is. If you go thanksgiving week, you kind of have to have a plan, I know that. If you just show up, it can be rough.

Wife is crazy about planning out all our meals, booking fastpasses, etc.

With our work schedules and kids, thanksgiving is really the best time to go. Summer is too hot, and Christmas... I did that before and that was horrific.

November is our favorite time to go there. Normally, we would head back home on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving, but this year we will be there on Turkey Day. Can't wait.

If you get in early, get out before noon and come back later in the day and have your FP+ waiting for you it's very manageable. Not ideal for someone who wants to do ALOT but for someone who knows they they like and doesn't need to do every single attraction it isn't that bad.

If you plan it right, it can be done well. All reports are showing a significant drop in crowd levels lately so it may be a good time.

We will arrive tomorrow evening for 7 nights at the Beach Club. Booked all FP's last week and made a few dinner reservations without any problems. Made evening FP's every day except for the evening that we'll spend at Disney Springs. Haven't been since Christmas '14.

thanks for coming and spending some (a lot) of money in my home town! keep that local economy rolling! Enjoy! The weather will be perfect. Hopefully the crowds won't be too bad. We there last night and it wasn't crowded at all.
