We are going play travel baseball in that area around Memorial Day. Looking for some hotel recommendations.
I've never been to that area before.
Thanks!

It's one of the better kept areas in that part of town. Dining, shopping, marina, rides, games, etc. If you have younger ones as well, they'll really enjoy it.

Nearest Hotels to the park will be in League City and Clear Lake. Both are upper middle class suburbs, and most of the hotels near the park are relatively new.
Kemah is fun if the kids are 5-12, at least for them. T- Bone Toms (of Diners, drive ins, and dives fame) and my favorite Greek/American/Seafood fusion place are both right there for food. Called Bakkus. Everything else in Kemah is owned by Tilman Fertitta and Landry's.
The Hilton, Nassau Bay, is a nice hotel (on the water) that is halfway between Kemah and the ball park.

If you have time between games definitely hit NASA
Walking around the rockets definitely make you feel small. You can do most everything at NASA in a half day if pressed for time.

Space Center Houston too. It's right across the street from the main NASA campus. Haven't been in forever, so not sure if it's on the same tour or a completely separate stop from checking out the main campus and tour.

Thanks for the great info!
Do they have a beach in that area too in Kemah? J/w..or you wouldn't want to swim there? J/w....
We are between staying closer to the park in Webster at a Holiday Inn Express.
Hilton in Clear Lake
or
Holiday Inn in Kemah
that's our 3 we narrowed it down to right now. We like the idea of hitting the boardwalk one night. Seems like it would be a blast for the boys. (9 year old travel baseball team)

Nasa would be great for them. It's a stones throw from the Nassau Bay Hilton. You would probably get a group discount. The boardwalk does have a few rides for that age. Even a damn fast roller coaster. But not too much. And none of it is cheap.
Clear Lake Park is a nice waterfront area. Again, very close to the Hilton. Playground, trails, volleyball nets, some green space, etc... But no beach to my knowledge. Sylvan Beach Park is a little north of Kemah on 146. I've never been there though, and can't speak on its condition. The water is in close proximity to the industrial areas of La Porte/Baytown/Pasadena, but I've probably swam in worse in Galveston.
