where to go for mardi gras?

if anyone says Disney, you can meet me at Sonic
seriously, looking to plan a trip while the kids are out of school. Would prefer something in a mild or warm climate, not really wanting to snow ski. I'm struggling to come up with any good ideas for that time of year.

I went to Dublin last year for MG. Misty and 42 degrees, but nice anyway.
This year I'm going to Sicily.
It's a good time to get cheap fares to Europe. I don't mind the early sunsets, and I like the cold weather for walking/being a tourist: uncrowded museums, easier to get restaurant reservations, etc.

Why not San Diego?
Highs in the 60s, lows in the 40s. Could take the kids to the San Diego zoo and just explore the area.

My bro lives in SD now. Made the mistake of going to Disney World this past MG and visited bro in May. Should I nix NOLA for MG again, I'm heading to SD. Honestly though, I'll probably enjoy MG in NOLA. It was foolish to leave the party.

I can't quite understand what you are asking.
Disney during MG all depends on if it lines up with presidents day and other events. It can get bad.

Overlooked Italy destination, I live there for two years.
There are some great Greek ruins, Mt Etna, diving off of Siracusa, and awesome catacombs.
