Going to a wedding at Atlantis in May for three days. Want to go to another resort for a few days after with (then) Mrs. Boosie.

What are some of our options?

Hedo Rick can probably describe it better than me.

Sandals Royal Bahamian. Nice property with an offshore island. Good food as well.

Property is brand new, but is "adult focused". They are family friendly though.

I haven't been, I had just read the very long story on its development and figured it may be an option.

On Paradise Island, The One and Only. Other options: get with some other couples and rent a bad arse house on that end of the island.

Back on Nassau, Graycliff. Smallish B and B type place. Not on the beach. If you're into hard to fine wine, liquor and cigars, it's worth a visit. We love it.

Way on the other end of the island near the airport is the new resort Baha Mar. Never stayed, just had drinks. Looks solid.

I have been to over 20 resorts in the past 20 years and Atlantis may be the worst place I have ever stayed.

Please find somewhere else to stay

Second the Bahamian. The private island is clutch.

I would second this. It's a very cool little place with extreme privacy and solitude on the grounds. Walkable to the shopping and restaurants by the docks. Private pool, private bar, cigar rollers, they make chocolate on the grounds. You may not see another person (other than the help) the entire time you're there.

Good alternative to the standard beach resort.
