Bangers on Rainey St. I liked Freedmen's for BBQ because it seemed like one of the only joints open at night and with a bar.

Solid recs.

the smokestack sammy at Freedman's is legit and they have a full bar with emphasis on whisky.

Banger's is a full on biergarten with good, free live music on weekend days.

What to do in Austin by SuperSaint
You'd think the way people bitching about SJWs they wouldn't be the types to go out of their way looking for something to whine about, but nope, they go out of their way to make some faux outrage over someone mentioning not wanting to have a curfew so they can stick with their normal Thirsty Thursday routine.

Not to mention their small gov, liberty-minded politics...

There is a somewhat low key spot off South Lamar that is the best IMO.
1. From either Mopac or South Lamar turn onto Barton Skyway.
2. Street is called Rae Dell and you have to park in a neighborhood and walk back in similar to sculpture falls.

There is a natural limestone cliff with jumping intervals (10, 20, 30+ ft.) Make sure you hit feet first and you should be fine. Water will be no more than 8ft deep as it is downstream.
