what is your price point from btr/msy to dallas driving vs flying

Does anyone have a opinion or price point that it isn't worth flying vs driving and then having to either uber or rent a car once in Dallas. Heading to U2 concert on Friday May 26? and will probably return Saturday May 27th.
Maybe $250 and say screw the flight and drive? idk

I have made that drive several times a year for over 40 years. The first leg is not bad, the return trip on such a quick turn can be brutal. I was usually visiting family and friends in BR and needed a car, but when I flew I went Southwest to NO 90% of the time. Not to avoid the BR airport but to avoid DFW. If you drive, the LA. rest stop restrooms are much cleaner than any of the gas stations and food places.

All up to you. American is $88 for the 6am MSY-DFW flight on the 26th, and $108 on the return at 5:30 or 6:30pm on the 27th. Grand total $196
