That's crazy. We would've had 4 random TDers in the boat on the same weekend haha.

We got in Thursday, skied that day, Friday, and Saturday. Saturday was sooooo fricking cold it was insane. My 10 year old goggles froze up on the first run so bad I Took em off and skied naked face. But it was like 5 degrees so my fricking tears froze on my eyes. no matter what I did I was skiing blind

I forgot about that, that was such shitty luck. I felt pretty bad and legit thought that epic pow day was gonna be miserable for you.

Definitely eyeing that Alta/snowbird combo for a pow weekend on the collective pass. I was in banff a few weeks ago, that's another one I'm keeping an eye on with those 2 resorts on the pass. That drive from Calgary reminded me of going into the mountains from Denver, but a little shorter drive and way easier to get around. Although I never hear about skiing up there so maybe they don't get as much snow.

Even new goggles fog. I think the best part about my goggles is the removable magnetic lens. I pop the lenses off on the chairlift and shove them down below my base layer. My body heat defrosts and they are ready for the next run. Ive seen it work with whole goggles before. Or the good ol' hair dryer at the lodge trick.

Also, clear lenses are so money on storm riding days. Life saver when visibility is low.

Hand dryer in the bathroom worked like a charm

I'll start a thread as we get close to a powder weekend. Maybe we can meet up somewhere.

Yea that was such a cold week and first time I had been in such extreme inversions. When we woke up Monday it was -15 in the valley but about 20 degrees when we got up to mid-mountain.

If I can't get a seasonal this winter with NPS or USFS I'm staying in Whitefish.

My craziest was -27 when I was putting my boots on at the base. Felt like a tropical paradise at 20 degrees when ya got on the gondola.

You can get such good skiing on inversion days. Cloudy and cold in the valley. Get about halfway up the gondola and the cloud layer disappears into bright sunny beautiful weather. Usually empty mountain and perfect groomers.

I cannot wait to lay down some turns on perfect corduroy groomers.
