As someone mentioned in the other thread, it's been quite a while since we've had one of these. I apologize, it's been very busy up here and I'm trying to change jobs so that's been a bigger priority as much as I'd love to look at airfare all day everyday.

Given the current coronavirus situation, flights are the cheapest I've seen in a very long time. Most of the airlines have deals where if you book now there is no cancellation fee so you can rebook for free later on, just pay the upcharge to whatever the new fare is.

Regarding cleaning, I know jetblue is spending $250,000 on lysol wipes for every plane, United sent me an email stating their complete scrubbing of planes, and I'm sure delta/american/spirit have their cleaning plans in place.

Posting flights below, most of the deals are good through the end of May or first week of June but some do extend through September. As always feel free to ask any questions and I'll do my best to help. Lazy sunday over here besides cleaning so I'll be in and out the rest of the day

Nola to:

New York City: $96 on Spirit or United, $187 on jetblue or delta. Looks like it's now through the first week of September. May need to book two one-ways to get the cheapest deal, but it's there. LINK

Raleigh: $53 on Spirit, didn't even realize spirit flew this nonstop? Good until Mid May LINK

Denver: $53 on Spirit, $68 on Frontier, $98 on Southwest. Now through the end of May. LINK

Los Angeles: $97 on Spirit, $153 on American. Now through the end of May. LINK

Chicago: $53 on Spirit, $97 on American, United or Southwest. Good from now until the first week of June. LINK

Boston: $80 on Spirit, $113 on Jetblue. I have never seen this under $100. Would easily do jetblue on this. Good now through the end of May LINK

San Diego: $97 on Spirit now through the middle of May. This one does not have a lot of availability and is a connection, but still cheap to go out that way. LINK

Orlando: $76 on Spirit, $158 on Southwest. Now through the first week of June. Remember you can always rebook on southwest if the price goes down, not a bad option to book now and lock in the $158 rate if you see flight times you like.

Washington DC: $80 on Spirit, $157 on United or Southwest. Now through first week of June. LINK

Austin: $53 on Spirit, $98 on Southwest. Now through first week of june, cheapest I've seen southwest on this and it is good for the nonstops.
LINK

Columbus, OH: $65 on Spirit. For our resident buckeyes, good now through first week of June. LINK

Oakland, CA: $95 on Spirit. Now through early june. LINK

Phoenix: $119 on Spirit, $198 on Southwest. Limited availability on spirit and it includes a connection, but the southwest option is the cheapest I've seen on this in a while. LINK

Key West: $235
on American. Now through November, not sure why this one is so cheap but it has great flight times through miami or charlotte as well. Looks like Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday travel but we can work in a few good priced one-ways LINK

International destinations

Montego Bay, Jamaica: $257
on Spirit, $311 on American. Now through mid May LINK

Aruba: $333 on American, $384 on Delta. Now through early June. LINK

Bogota: $193
on Spirit, over $300 on American. Figured this might be an interesting destination. LINK

Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago: $399 on Jetblue, $479 on American or Delta. Not that much availability, but a few random dates going into June. LINK

St. Croix: $151 on Spirit. Now through the end of May, will likely need to pick and choose the cheapest dates. LINK

St. Thomas: $156 on Spirit, $325 on American or Delta. Now through the first week of June. LINK

Cancun: $228 on Spirit, not really good options on AA, United, or Delta. Also the nonstops aren't showing up, not sure why. LINK

Thanks man . Flights are so much cheaper out of Nola than Buffalo when I just looked so might as well have others enjoy it.

For instance, the cheapest BUF-NYC flight on the calendar is $185 roundtrip, whereas it's $95 from New Orleans... Bunch of bullshite up in here

If I was looking for a vacation and still lived down there, I'd be all over those St. Croix or St. Thomas flights

NYC to AMS in mid-May?

$294 on United, KLM, Delta in economy. $3200 in business. For that difference, I'd easily sit in economy and pay the extra money for an exit row or premium economy. LINK

Yeah I usually fly Delta/KLM business so I was hoping they would drop a little bit, but I might suck it up for that price.

Was reading the other thread and started doing some looking around. Crazy cheap fares to be had, now trying to figure out which direction to go. Out of Austin we can go to Miami or Denver for way less than $200 pp round trip. Not sure how SW flies a plane full of folks that paid $49 each for a ticket from Austin to Denver.

Edit, looks like we are going to Boston for my birthday, last weekend of March, $175 pp roundtrip.

I was hoping the $80 boston fare in the thread title would be an abita bat signal

Possible to rebook at the cheaper price and still make out better after removing the change fee?

I saw it and popped in because I’m thinking about booking a flight to Denver to see a friend this summer. These threads are always really helpful.

Nah looked into it, I'd Essentially only save a few bucks by cancelling and rebooking due to fees and what not

Is there a favorite site you use to see these prices or is it simply effort?

We’ve used EscapeHouston.com a few times.

My own technique. Google flights if I know of good cheap dates (Tuesday to Tuesday in April or May) but don't know what destination I'm looking for. Typically use the map feature and scroll around, someone asked for caribbean so I zoomed in there and found the st. croix and st. thomas flights earlier. From there if I see a destination like Chicago or NYC has direct flights on southwest and then will switch over to southwest's website and look at their calendar feature for the cheapest dates. Not sure why google flights doesn't pull from southwest's website, but it is what it is
