Anyone ever stay at The Wharf in Orange Beach? If so, how was it, can kids fish, any information would be helpful.

Thanks!

In Alabama? The place was a Ghost Town last month for Memorial Day. A lot of closed stores and the ones that were open charged an arm and a leg.

always is, but it stays fairly occupied

they charge entirely too much rent and they cant stay in business. I am not sure on the appeal of the wharf outside the tiny waterpark or having an event there

Last time I went (like 4 years ago) it was packed. Shopping upstairs and down, some nice restaurants, and plenty to do.
This time we looked around but didn't buy anything and we ate at one restaurant that was disappointing.

Never stayed there but visit several times when we're extremely bored at the beach. Last two times we've gone it's been pretty depressing. Only decent things to do is watch a concert or movie. Junk shops and bad dining. I'd look elsewhere

Condos are nice, water park is nice as well. We like it since we have a little one. Don't have to drive much at all. Drive over to the beach a couple of days if we want. Been the last 3 years for a short trip. Food options are average at best. Italian place is the best on site. Other places seem to be come and go.

Food places at The Wharf might be average, it keep in mind that you are a short ride from any restaurant in Gulf Shore or OB.

Kids would enjoy it, I think.

I don't recall it being there a few weeks ago.

Vilago is really the only restaurant with any merit there. The rest are typical food and slightly over priced.

I've only been there for a concert where a friend of a friend dropped us off and picked us up in his boat. Place screamed tourist trap, but I didn't really explore it much. We stopped in one of the bars/restaurants for a beer, then went to the amphitheater.

Every time I've driven past it, it's been empty.

Visited the Wharf multiple times, never stayed there. The few stores are worthless crap... not sure why its still there except for the condos or maybe the marina
