Ya, Phuket itself is very different from the first two.

One of the islands in the Andaman Sea or Gulf of Thailand would be more comprable

Recs based on what? This is like you walking into Best Buy and asking what all they sell.

I did my research, had all three of these on the short list for our honeymoon in May and chose the Maldives. We wanted an overwater bungalow and as far as value the Maldives offered the best accommodations. Also had a hard time finding any all inclusives at a decent price in Seychelles and Thailand.

Warning about thailand, all the beaches are public so you'll be relaxing in a chair and then 20 boats of chinese tourists will pull up and ruin your day. It is gorgeous though, Consider going to phi phi and staying at zeavola then Krabi and staying at Rayavadee, we did that and found it cooler than phuket.

If you're adventurous, fly to cambodia for a few days to siem reap and check out Angkor wat, that was probably my best experience on that trip. Stay at the privilege floor in Siem Reap.

I agree with this, I did Thailand and Cambodia last year, Siem Reap is an awesome two day stay touring the temples, Phuket was good but only for a couple of days to do the island tours. Many have recommended other islands in Thailand that offer the same tours but with better accommodations and beaches than Phuket.

Phuket and Siem Reap reviews posted in the sticky. LINK

Check out Viet Nam, supposed to be great people, beaches, and experience. I haven't been yet.
