What are you looking for? Kids or no? How much do you want to spend?

Any type of food.
The kids will be with us.
Price is no option.

Louisiana lagniappe.

Not much in FWB that I'd recommend except Bamboo Sushi.
For Destin:
McGuire's
Harbor Docks
Boshamp's
Jasmine
Craft Bar
790
Ruby Slipper (b'fast/brunch)
Buffalo Jack's
Fat Clemenza's
YMMV, but I wouldn't take kids to Lagniappe (if you can ditch them, go. the food is fantastic)

Isn’t there a restaurant in Destin where you can hold an alligator?
Also, why wouldn’t you take kids to Lagniappe? Are there a lot of drunks there? Waitresses scantily-clad? No tendies?

Mimmo’s
Good Italian food and a wood burning pizza oven.

Tuscany in Sandestin is phenomenal.

Fudpuckers. There's a reason it's not on my "restaurant" list.

Because I don't think kids belong in most restaurants. The atmosphere is not geared towards them.
The list with Crazy Lobster and garbage on it, that's your "restaurants for kids" list.
Mimmo's is very good Italian, as is Tuscany (the new location is in the Market at Sandestin).
This is my hometown, I know the restaurants.

5 minutes from my house. Loved going here before it became popular. Now there is a wait even during the off season.

Lagniappe
It's hit or miss with them. Sometimes it's great, other times its actually pretty bad.

Craft Bar
Great Burger.
My favorites. Cuve', Pazzos, 30A Cafe, Bijous. Stinkys use to be on that list but its fallen off lately.

Yeah, since OP was asking FWB/Destin, I didn't go farther east than Miramar.

They have a really good Thai place in Navarre. It’s nothing special as far as decor or service but everything I have ever eaten from there has been fantastic. They do a lot of to go business and we liked to pick it up our first day there and ordered a shite ton so we had plenty for lunches or a late drunken dinner. I assume it is still there but it’s been a few years and I don’t remember the name to look it up.

The steaks here are legit.
Old Bay Steamer if you don't mind spending some money.

A lot of kids don't belong in a lot of public places. It's inconsiderate to the adults trying to enjoy themselves. Obviously I blame the parents and not the kids

That’s right. Mimmo’s.
I always confuse the spelling with Nino’s which is another very good Italian restaurant we like to go to in Houston.

I went to Mimmo’s and the pizza was excellent!
I got it to go. I went inside to pick the pizza up and the restaurant was really nice.
