Something nice. Somewhere you’d go for a special occasion.

Go to Tico’s. Tico Hoffman is the owner. Former golfer at LSU and really nice guy. He started at Ruth’s Chris in college, part time, then worked for them after college before starting his own place.
I live in Maryland now but people I know in Jackson say it is the best steak in the area.

LSUfootball hit it on the head. Can’t go wrong with any of the restaurants he listed.

Personally Manship is tops for my wife and I.

If you work for someone else and they did this to you, if I were you I'd be working on my resume.

It's obvious they don't like/value/care/respect you.

Anjou is the only place I've been there (it's in Ridgeland, MS) lately and it was good.

Natchez Trace Grill

I am not a buffet person, but I am in Jackson often with work and the people I work with are mostly from DC/Virginia They always want to go to Mama Hamil's in Madison. It's buffet, but home cooked with plenty of good southern food.

I'm a big fan of Shapleys but then again it's been a couple years since I've eaten there.

I was extremely disappointed last time I went to ticos and will probably never be back. Service was terrible, we left and went to does.

Everything mentioned in the second post is good. Char has never let me down.

Mainship as good duck wings and great bar selection

Elys is great Local 463 is good.

Walkers in Downtown Jackson/Fondren area is worth a trip.

For me its a toss up between Elys and Walkers.
