NYC with Kids

Taking the train to NYC next weekend. Me, the wife, and a two and four yr old. We're staying near Times Square. Any must do/see things with kids? Places to eat? Good place to grab craft beers or a glass of wine that is not just a place to grab craft beers or wine?
ETA: taking train up from DC on Friday morning and returning Monday evening.

We went to NYC when my youngest two were similar in age to your children. They loved Statue of Liberty (especially the ferry ride over/ back), Top of the Rock, riding the subway, and especially Central Park. The Met was also a hit with them; MoMA was not.

Best steak in the city is at Uncle Jack's Steakhouse just south of Central Park. Chinatown was always a favorite of mine during trips to the city.
