Any good recs in dinner. Ristorante Allegria is on our list as well as Brix. Need one more rec. Also what y’all think mask restrictions will be like in Cali at that time

I enjoyed Farmstead at Long Meadow Ranch in St Helena when I went.

Thomas Keller has a few restaurants out there.

Ad hoc is a fantastic more casual one that has family style dinners.

If The Wine Train is running the dinner was really good while sightseeing from the train.

Big Thomas Keller fan here. Bouchon is a great meal. Someone else mentioned Ad Hoc, which is also a very good meal. Bistro Jeanty is good. Mustards Grill is worth a look. Never dined my in the St. Helena area, so can't help you up there - usually stick to the Yountville area b/c that's where we usually stay.

Thanks. I just hope restrictions aren’t bad in October

We have reservations in October also and I’m concerned about mask mandates as well. We went last summer and didn’t enjoy the Covid limitations and were hoping to avoid them this year. Guess we’ll see.

RH and Morimoto are 2 places I haven’t seen mentioned that we will likely do this go around.

Press and charter oak are good ones I’ve been to recently.

Unfortunately the restrictions might not be bad but we’ve stopped going during crush because of fires.

Morimoto was exceptional when we went a few years ago. Keep that on the agenda

Just made reservations for Morimoto this morning. Decided against RH since I don’t want to drive to Yountville after a long day of tastings and will look for something a little closer to Napa.

They have a little picnic area out back where you can do a casual lunch on his fried chicken. We liked it.

We did French Laundry. Obviously amazing.

Mustard Seed Grill was a good lunch.

We went late Sept last year and they had lightened some on the masks - our issue was the air quality which shut a lot of tastings down.

September reservations just released for French Laundry. Sold out in 2 minutes…but I was able to get a table! I’m pumped. Now I just need Cali to not shut down for a few weeks.
