I'm not a huge fan, and I'm not going to direct you to the travel board.

I appreciate a certain part of the old school nostalgic charm of the place, though. There's something sort of neat about the Bucky's Bar in the old building. Pool is nice enough as well. All the food on site is completely forgettable. Some will say the Wash House restaurant just down the road is much better, but it's really only marginally so in my estimation.

Who are the travel expert posters who exclusively frequent that board and not this one? Just curious.

I think there is an Italian restaurant called Gambino's or something that's really good!

Gambinos is in between the grand hotel and the Fairhope pier on the bay. Good suggestion

Restaurant - Wash House, Camillia Cafe, Fairhope Inn. Jesse's is my favorite place to eat, but it's a 15 min drive to Magnolia Springs (1/2 to the Gulf). Shuxter's is on the Fairhope Pier and pretty good.

Bars - Bone and Barrell, McSherry's. The bar at the Grand Hotel is actually pretty good.

Fish River Grill. Great lunch spot, but be warned... It is small and they don't serve alcohol. But great food.

I enjoyed Tamara's Downtown in Fairhope.

The food at the resort (Grand Steakhouse) was pretty good too for the price. Bucky's has a very good Jalapeno Margarita.

Panini Pete's has a good hamburger and a cool place to sit a while and drink.

I don't remember the name, but driving up to the place you would never believe it was a restaurant. it looked almost like a small trailer park
