You're going to stick out like a sore thumb if this is what you expect to see in Portland. Portland is one of the top 10 best cities when it comes to their craft beers. Allagash, Bissel Brothers, Rising Tide, etc.

Dude, Maine Beer Company
Lunch IPA
Dinner DIPA
You'll thank me later.
Edit: Duckfat is one of my favorite restaurants in America. So casual but so awesome. Also awesome local beer selection. I had a smoked oyster stout. Can't remember the name of the brewery but it was fantastic.
Edit: upon further research, it was Pemaquid Oyster Stout brewed by Marshall Wharf Brewing.

I said "etc."
Peeper Ale FTW. Though I do love the Lunch IPA. I actually don't think I've had Dinner, so I'll have to correct that.

They're are not in the etc category
I think that is the top brewery in Portland with Bissell just right behind them.

I'd give the edge to Bissell, but that's just a personal opinion. Probably because I have a harder time finding Bissell in Boston so the "rarity" of it gives it more of an allure. The Peeper Ale is on tap everywhere and is a go to for me, and any good grocery store or liquor store has a variety of Maine Beer Co. brews. I'm not even slightly knocking MBC in saying that, just saying it's nice that I can easily get my hands on it.

Totally understand the sentiment. You appreciate the great craft beers a little bit more when it is hard to get.

Truth. And BTW I have had that oyster stout you're referring to. It's amazing.
Man, I may need to plan a weekend trip to Portland this week.

We go to Portland every February. We ski at Sunday River. It is so unpretentious for a ski resort and very few tourists from Oklahoma if you catch my drift. We always stay in Portland for a day or two. There is something about the town we like. Can't explain it.

I was there two years ago in February - I usually go in the summer/fall. It really is a great area. Insane beer options. Small but still plenty to do. Great food. Greater beer. Clean. People are friendly. And there's also the beer.

I agree with this. Liked the Peeper quite a bit more than Lunch!

I was there a couple of years ago and the bar i ended up in was full of hipsters drinking pabst blue ribbon. I do t even think they had another brand of beer available.
