The wife (no pics) and I stayed at the Mirage this past May and it was okay. Just bring your most comfortable walking shoes because no matter where you stay in Vegas you're going to do a lot of that

Park MGM is probably your best bet as recently renovated and walking distance to Aria and Cosmo.

If you’re younger flamingo is a good option. Their pool is always packed

If you’re looking for cheap then MGM Grand or Bally’s would be my choices

Luxor? It's a dump. If you want reasonable prices try the mgm. If you want reasonable but nicer go Aria. If you want just nice go Cosmo.

Was at the Encore on a work event this past week. Don’t know what the rooms cost, but the rooms were pretty damn nice, at least compared to what this poor is used to staying in.

Do most hotels have shuttles from the airport or do we have to taxi/uber?

What about the Hoover Dam tour? Anyone been on that?

There will be a parking garage deck with 100 Uber/lyft drivers waiting to take you to your hotel.

They will offer to bring you to a liquor store and/or dispensary first.

Vdara, stayed there last two times. Great location and easy access indoors to Bellagio, and access to Aria/Park MGM/Cosmo all within 3 mins.

Yeah the encore is great, sinatras might be my favorite restaurant in Vegas

That truffle pasta is legitimately the best pasta I’ve ever had

Might switch it up and stay on Freemont for that night. Any recs for that area?

Circa

Their pool is a sports book. Or rather, a very massive sports viewing area. Looks awesome.

If you do Fremont try The D. We've also stayed at The Grand and Golden Nugget, but The D was just a better all around hotel/casino.

Get a rental car and go exploring all around the area. Once got a yellow Mustang GT convertible for around $30 a day midweek. Was way more cost effective than Uber or the tourist shuttles.

I use the Luxor as a reasonably priced, decent place to stay. Stayed at NYNY once and thought it was a little run down.

The Luxor is a gigantic piece of shite.

Stay at the Venetian or the Resort world. We stayed at the Park MGM and the LXR crockfords at Resort World this year. The Park hotel itself is nice, the rooms leave a lot to be desired

Most hotels are cheap-ish. The casinos expect to make their money off you gambling so you can stay at places like Linq, PH and Luxor for like $70 When are you looking at going?

The Wynn is great. Going there in October. It's $250/night

Mirage!

Old, but perfect location.

I second this and I think Bally's is solid too, especially for location. You're not in your room much in LV ideally.
