Thinking about booking 3 nights at the Flamingo. I've been seeing mixed reviews. Anyone stay there recently?

I was there last summer, but only for one night. I would say that it met my expectations. What kind of things do you plan to do in Vegas?

Pool area is fun. Rooms old, and outdated, but don't spend much time in the room. Cheap options to eat.

Not going to be as fancy as one of the bigger and newer hotels but it's in one of the best locations on the strip

I have not stayed at the Flamingo recently but I have stayed there before. I am not going to tell you that it is the greatest hotel in town but it is good enough and in an excellent location.

There are nicer hotels near there such as Caesar’s right across the street and the Venetian a few blocks away but if the price is right I would much rather stay at the Flamingo than at one of the hotels farther away from what I consider the center of the strip.

Not my regular place, but stayed there last year. As others said, location can’t be beat. Clientele is mostly a party crowd in the summer.

Another vote for exactly this. The rooms aren't awful. They're just not as fancy as the other places. Their location is perfect. If I can't afford the Caesars or the Bellagio, I'll take the Flamingo every day.

It will do for a short trip. You are not going to be in the room much anyway if you're doing Vegas right. Excellent location center strip.

Back then the Flamingo was considered palatial. It was one of the original Las Vegas new strip hotels.

I love the old school feel of The Flamingo.

Good location, nothing fancy nor nothing wrong. I prefer the Horseshoe but if the WSOP is still going on then it’s probably not a good idea.

Not bad
The pool music gets old quick and they start it early

We just got back from Vegas Saturday. Walked past The Flamingo to go check out the Battle Bots arena for the wife's dad. The surrounding area on the streets and people around it are like a time capsule compared to the rest of the strip. Felt a lot more sketchy walking around it than on the strip itself.

shite happens all around there. They just keep it as quiet as possible to not hurt tourism. My SIL works for the police department and fills me in on the crap going on. Last time I was there someone was shot and killed at the Westgate. It didn't even phase business over there

No complaints from me on the Flamingo. Plus its just a short walk to In-N-Out burger.

Maybe I am just an arrogant sob, but there's no chance whatsoever I'd stay at the Flamingo.

Its a good location, but its a dump imo.

Never stayed at the Flamingo but did stay at the Hilton behind it. Agree that the location is great. We typically now stay closer to the Cosmo/Aria area now
