my brother an Mom went a few months back and they seemed to eat a lot of that weird pancake egg with noodles stuff.

This is so awesome. Japan is probably at top of my travel list. Just such an incredible place. Maybe I'll get there one day

Thanks for the write-up and photos.

My wife went to some of the same places on a month-long exchange program trip. She loved it.

T.R. Reid has a fun book, "Confucius Lives Next Door", about his experience living in Japan with his wife and kids for five years. It's from 1999, so a little dated, but still good.
