I went in late February for 4 days and had a great time, went all over the place with my friend who lives there. She took tour guiding to the extreme . The little mermaid was small, but you have to go. I really liked some of the old churches, especially the one near amalienborg. Go visit christiania if you want some pot/ to see how hippies live in the city. Had some great food, forget what their meat specialty is called. I did not make it to tivoli because it was closed, but apparently it's a great place to go.

Thread I made previously

I've been 3 times and really love it. But it is very expensive. To really appreciate Copenhagen, rent a bike and ride around like the locals. The old town area is really nice to walk around including the Stroget which is a pedestrian only street full of shops. Its touristy though. The Meat Packing district is where a lot of new bars and restaurants are. Norrebro is another area with lots of shops, bars and restaurants. Assitens Cemetery is in Norrebro too and is where Hans Christian Anderson and Søren Kierkegaard are buried. Its a cool, old cemetery. Definitely check out Christiana LINK. Its a hippy commune sorta thing. When you first walk in there are some kiosks lining a dirt road where people sell typical hippy stuff including hash for smoking. . There is a beer garden towards the back that is a cool place to chill. And there is a small lake ringed by a dirt path that you can walk and check out the houses people have built. Some are just boxes and some are really nice. Everyone pays the same amount for their lot (3-400 euro) and builds what they want. There is a vegetarian restaurant back there too that is good if you are adventurous. And there are some higher end restaurants in the buildings at the front gate that are good.

If you are in Copenhagen for any amount of time you can day trip to the Louisiana Museum which doesnt have anything to do with Louisiana but is a great modern art museum set on a cliff overlooking the Baltic sea. Its one of the worlds great museums and worth a visit. There is an outdoor cafe on the cliff that is a good place to chill.

You can also go over to Malmo, Sweden.....bout a 30 minute train ride across the big bridge (the Fixed Oresund Bridge) Malmo is a nice town with several plazas full of cafes.

When I was there, I told my friends I wanted to go to Sweden. They stared at me blankly and asked why I would want to go there . Also be warned, there were a lot of arabic people there and apparently a lot of security checks on the train to Malmo

A couple of follow-ups:

How difficult is it to get to Amstmerdam, Oslo and/or Stockholm? And are any of these worth it?

How's the rest of Denmark? Interesting places to visit?

They are all worth it if you have the time. Trains take about 8 hours to Oslo and 6.5 to Stockholm. So flying saves you some time. Getting to Amsterdam by train is 9.5 hrs so an overnight train is what we have done. There is a cool part of the trip where the train drives on to a ferry to cross over to Germany. They make you get off the train and go to the upstairs of the ferry. Strange to see a huge train sitting on the car deck. Amsterdam is my favorite city in europe and its relatively inexpensive. Oslo and Stockholm are going to be way more expensive.

Even the long-cut is to fine-cut for my taste. However, it is the most moist of all the brands.

Sorry I couldn't pass it up.
