How vacations evolve

I mentioned to a family member I was interested in taking a trip to Vegas. Whatever. This family member who has more points than they can possibly use started planning my trip. I soon learn it's going to be a group vacation of mutual friends. Whatever. If it cost less... And then I was told my family member was planning on just getting a room for me. Now I find out it's being marketed as me and this family member's boyfriend and a mutual friend as going on a "boy's weekend."
I'm ok with that but it's just amusing how the identity to the trip changes

? If you're traveling on someone else's dime, you don't set the rules. The vacation didn't evolve, it's someone else's trip....

I ain't complaint by my family member's involvement m at all. I'm open to it. But , yes, it did ducking evolve. My family member had wanted to join us on the trip butbher BFbhad nixed it. I am the person who explored what this trip would evolve, placed the dates, and explored the parameters of what the trip would involve. Things change
