Ill be going to the keys for a week to see a friend and ill have 3 days when hes working and wont be able to take me fishing.

Is there legal, easy, fast way to get to Havana from the keys, spend a 2d/1n in Havana and then get back? Are there ferries?

LOL. No.

Traveling to Cuba from the US is a cumbersome process.

Swim.

Seriously, though...I don't think this is possible at the moment without going on one of those cruises.

I hope that's a joke. Isn't it like 90 miles from KW to Cuba?

haha absolutely a joke, ive just heard people say you can see cuba from Miami or something like that(like seeing Russia from Alaska-Palin). No way I would try that.

It is a shame there is no way to get there though as it would be cool to check out since im there

We ended up in Cuban terrtirorial waters chasing a school of Dolphin when the captain wasn't paying attention. We had a Cuban patrol boat rideup and tell us to frick off though I hear that is less common these days.

True story.

I was lifeguarding at the Beau Rivage when a guest comes over and starts chatting.

He looks out over the back deck and asks.

"Is that Cuba?"

"No sir. That's Deer Island."

"Oh"
And if you think that was a one off.

Talking to some girls that I find out are from North MS. Wind picks up and I tell them I have to drop the umbrella.

"Is a hurricane coming?"

"No, we usually get a little heads up on those."
