The only thing you left off are the wineries in Willamette Valley.

I think I did mention that there are wineries in the Willamette Valley...

I'm not a wine guy. If you want to know about breweries, I'm your guy. If you want to know about wineries, then Google is your ticket...

My wife and I will probably take a winery tour this summer when my sister and bil come visit later this summer. I may be a better source of information then. Maybe.

Also eat at Portland city Grill - 30th story resturant

Meh...food is pricey because of the view.

If the OP wants a great view take a lunch in a small backpack and hike Angels rest in the gorge.

Best view imo. It's 2.3 miles up with 1800 feet of gain if I remember correctly.

I've heard a lot about the beer scene up there.

Its reputation isn't exaggerated. Neither is the fine herb that is grown here too

We did that too, great view watching the sail guys though while you sip a beer. Another brewery there too, forget the name but they had good beers also. After we finished we drove to see my hood.

I've got the bed and breakfast info of where we stayed if needed. Awesome place and central to everything.

That is on another level. Ken's Artisan Pizza is right there, too, for the best pizza in Portland. Double mountain is not that far behind, though...

Where did you stay? I was just going to get a private room off of Airbnb.

We stayed here... Sandes of Time Bed and Breakfast, now it might not be right downtown, but is actually in a good central spot to everything. We really enjoyed staying there and the breakfast they serve is amazing!!

Landed in Portland at noon on Tuesday. Tues lunch at food trucks at Alder food court pod. Powell's book (others hit some of the vintage stores nearby). Mill Ends Park (not as cool as I thought it might be).

Checked into AirBNB in Brooklyn neighborhood. Pretty convenient and relatively cheap. Dinner at Pok Pok. Followed by ice cream at Salt & Straw. Should have hit up a pub near here but too tired.

Wednesday we did a guided Willamette valley wine tour after breakfast at Mother's Bistro. Pricey but awesome. DDO, White Rose, and Lange Estate. Drinks at Rogue taproom and pizza delivery from Baby Doll.

Thursday morning planning to do breakfast at Voodoo donuts followed by walk through the Japanese garden. Afternoon tour at Nike at half priced shopping in the employee store (friend of a friend got us in). Dinner at the Bagdad Theater or maybe Bollywood.

Friday morning driving the Columbia River Gorge before heading to Mt Ranier for the weekend. Could have used another day or two here to do more of the day trips referenced above.

In Portland, don't bother with Rogue. There are 4 better breweries withing walking distance of there. 10 Barrel is right across the street from Rogue, and their roof bar is money. Fatheads, Breakside (new brewpub scheduled to open soon), and Deschutes are all great and within several blocks.

River Pig is a good time as well. Amazing that area used to be burned out ghetto.

I grew up in Portland and hadn't been back for a few years. Drove through NE and it's like a completely different city. It's incredible.

Someone told me they were just approved for sale the first of June. Not sure if that's accurate and have not looked.
