So we are thinking of going away the week of Thanksgiving and saw they have some nice cabins to rent up in Arkansas/Hot Springs area. Maybe a little further than we want to go though. Anyone know of any awesome cabins maybe on water that's nice to stay in the fall?

Check out the Louisiana State parks. Very nice cabins, many over the water for a good price

I love the ones on Lake Pontchatrain at Fountainbleu, but they seem to stay booked solid. I'm guessing it's the same for the other parks.

Percy Quin near McComb MS. Cabins are old but the grounds are very nice. Great golf course too

Further away and houses not cabins. Still may be worth your time to look. If not, then Percy Quinn is nice or Toledo Bend
The lakefront cabins at Fontainebleau are boss. I suggest cabin #1 or cabin #12.

Houseboats on Lake Ouachita out of Hot Springs AR are a incredible experience. Went once with three couples and took three grandsons back two years ago. HUGELY wonderful week, second best only to a week bare boat charter in the BVI's last two years.

It is well worth the extra 2 hour drive to get great views and crystal clear water. You can find places on the Caddo, Little Missouri River, and Ouachita River. It will be too cold for tubing but you can canoe, hike, trout fish, four wheeler ride and bon fire with the best of them. Search those places on vrbo.

Toledo Bend?
South State Park has nice cabins, walking trails, playground. The cabins can sleep 8 with the sleeper sofa, we've fit 12 before but not recommended.
ETA: Check VRBO for the AR places, stayed a week in a great house for pretty cheap a couple years ago.

I've stayed in a cabin on Lake Catherine in Arkansas. Very nice.
