Looking for a good place to stay for a bach party in Boston. Group of ~12 guys aged 24-27. Currently looking at the Theatre District.

Abitafan, I emailed you last night but didn't get a response.

Back Bay could be a good option.

Hey man, sorry for the lack of response, been a busy week. I'll definitely respond soon, but if you have other questions feel free to post here as well.

ETA: I probably wouldn't recommend the Theater District. While it's pretty centrally located, it's not my favorite. Are you looking at AirBnBs or hotels?

I agree with AbitaFan. Theatre District kind of sucks. The first time I came to Boston before I moved here, I stayed in Beacon Hill, which is awesome. There is a great place to get craft beer in that area (The Tip Tap Room) and Charles Street is very "Boston-y". Beacon Hill doesn't have the greatest restaurants but you are right on the red line so you can get to all the great restaurants in Cambridge/Somerville and get to other cool areas in Boston. Beacon Hill is also walking distance to the North End which is a very cool, albeit slightly more touristy, location. I live in Someville now and I actually prefer the restaurants on that side of the river (lots of good ones in Harvard Square, which is a must-see for first timers). I also used to live in South Boston which is a really cool place that is less seedy and more "young professional" these days. There are a few cool bars/ restaurants that will be packed with mid- to late-twentysomethings so it is worth checking out.

Whereabouts? I work in Davis Square. Live in Southie now but looking to move to Somerville whenever my lease is up this summer.

I'm about a ten minute walk to Davis Square by foot, right off Highland Ave. Davis is probably my favorite area in Somerville (my fiancee's too). I've really enjoyed living here (even more than Southie). I'd definitely recommend it. Also, it's tremendously cheaper than Southie, rent-wise, which is a bonus.

I've probably walked by your house many times then.

Fiancee works at Somerville City Hall on Highland. It's a great area.

So you and the old lady both work in Somerville? I would kill to work in the area, though I'm not too far at Assembly Row. Y'all have got to move here. You'll get cheaper rent (most likely) and your commutes will be non-existent. Plus, they have Trillium at Five Horses Tavern if you are a fan, though I guess you already know that if you work in Davis.

Oh yes I'm aware. That's my go-to lunch spot. Little known fact but for lunch every day you can get a cheese pizza for $5. It's not on the menu.

Stopped by Foundry after work yesterday and they had Sip on tap. It was delicious.

I love working in Davis Square. I'm going to start apartment hunting probably in May and would love to find something near here so that I could walk to work.

Assembly Row is awesome. Sometimes we like to mix it up and go to Earl's for lunch. I wouldn't want to live in those apartments in AR though, too much foot traffic and all to deal with on a daily basis.

since somerville's been mentioned a few times in this thread, I'm a fan of Aeronaut and Slumbrew. Slumbrew food is pretty damn good and reasonably priced.

I actually mentioned Aeronaut as a good place to go during the day in an e-mail I sent the OP. They put out some really great beers.

I haven't made it to Winter Hill Brewery in Somerville yet but I hear good things.
