I've read through the Cuba thread. Any additional suggestions on places to go / things to do? Going over memorial day weekend friday - monday.

My sister just got back from old havana and said it was incredible. Bring a good camera. Said only regret was they were far from the coast. If you're AirBnb'ing, get a place with a lot of (good) reviews.

Being Memorial Day weekend, you should visit the Havana City History Museum and see the USS Maine exhibit. Not sure if the statue is still standing but you could visit that as well.

I honestly haven't researched it, but what goes into booking a flight these days?

You just book the flight. Buy the visa at the airport and check off a form that says you're going for something along the lines of "people to people".

Interesting. Will have to check that out.

I posted about all I could in the original thread. But I really enjoyed my trip to Havana a couple months back.

What did you pay for a visa? My buddy said he paid $50 through jet blue but I was reading on reddit that american airlines was charging $50 for the visa then a $35 - $50 processing fee? Any insight?
