Imperial Palace..had the best sports book

Hasn't been a top ten LV sportsbook since Jay Kornegay left ages ago for Hilton/Westgate..and even back then was an ugly small dive to just shop numbers and bolt..but one with good Puck lines and futures/exotics.

I'm reading Mandalay bay is pretty awesome but it's on the south strip further away from the action.

Mandalay Bay was the least expensive strip hotel casino when we went back in March. It was ok, but the rooms weren't as nice as the Aria and some others. It is at the end of the strip so plan on walking or taking Uber a lot if thats your deal.

I like the Tropicana. It's at the south end of the strip but walking the strip is half the fun of being in Vegas.

It was remodeled a couple of years ago. Decent pool scene.

Check out the ghostbar at the palms.

You can buy tickets to go to pools at various casinos. Palms pool scene was pretty good. Hard rock is supposed to incredible.

Whatever you do DO NOT stay at the flamingo. It's a shite hole.

Casino Royale has the cheapest drinks on the strip.

Cosmo is a Marriott property if anyone has points to use. If not, the Palazzo is awesome and has great pools.

Always have loved the Venetian.

The Cromwell is small but really nice inside - Giada's restaurant is actually really good.

I have gone to Vegas for work at least once a year for the last 10 years. I have stayed at all the major resorts. If I could pic I would say the Venetian/Palazo. It's new,it has a huge mall, two casino floors, tons of good restaurants, and plenty nightlife. It's huge! Bellagio and Paris are nice also but not as many amenities.

Wynn/encore is my favorite, and I've stayed at most on the strip. It is at the end of the strip, so not as crowded. It is full of good looking women, and the pool scene is nice. Mgm or Mandalay are really good values and have awesome pools and nice rooms.

Don't worry about that. Just plan to walk or cab everywhere

Mandalay isn't walkable to anywhere worthwhile and cab fares add up quick.

Mandalay is a beautiful hotel with an awesome pool, but the location sucks and it's nowhere near as fun as other places

I love how the guy asks for inexpensive places and immediately Bellagio, Cosmo and Wynn are thrown out there.

The best value you'll find is at Hard Rock but it's a little off the strip. The rooms are actually pretty decent and there's plenty of restaurants and lots to do and a lot of times rooms are $40.

The Palms is pretty much crap now, nobody goes there anymore.

Encore has the best beach club but it's expensive if you aren't staying there or don't know someone.

Somebody recommended the Tropicana and it's actually not that bad. The pool scene is pretty old but you can just walk across the street to Wet Republic at MGM and there's talent everywhere. Plus from the MGM you can take the monorail up the strip all the way to SLS.
