I keep looking for the big sale they usually have around this time but have yet to see one. I think the last great one that came out you posted a few months ago, we're due soon

I remember the week of Thanksgiving they had that really big one. The one with a few 300-400 flights out of MSY to many European cities all the way through May.

I always hear about these great prices but I can never seem to get them, at least not recently. I am looking to go to Italy next spring and can't seem to find anything under $1,400.00.

Ah yeah multi-city is usually going to be more expensive from my experience.

Are you flexible with your days or does it have to be on those two dates?

Last two years around this time we found IAH-CDG suddenly drop from 1200 to 650-750. Jumped on it both years.

We already have our accommodations booked. The only way we would change our flight days is in the event of a real bargain. Otherwise we will just bite the bullet and pay the high price.

Ah didn't know if you would be willing to fly in a day early and add a day to the hotel or not. I do see a difference from flying Friday (arriving Saturday) vs flying Saturday (arriving Sunday)

I don't know your options, but maybe try a round trip to Venice then catching a flight from Venice to Florence. I would not do this going back (ie round trip to Florence) because I did that this summer and the whole international flight thing makes it a PITA. But going to was very easy. If you do a round trip to venice with a partner of Alitalia then you may be able to catch a cheap Alitalia flight from Venice to Florence.
