In town literally for a few hours for my cousin's graduation. Should be done with that by about 7. What should I do?

Rent a RV and drive under the 11' 8" bridge.

I'll be in area at same time but not for graduation stuff. I'm also trying to figure out what to do traveling with my wife and two year old.
If I didn't have the toddler I'd check out the Durham beer scene

Angus Barn is a very good steakhouse. Honestly, what matters is where your cousin is graduating from. The answer is totally different if it's UNC or NC State or Duke. Different quality bars and restaurants close to each. UNC and Duke are much closer to each other than NC State, btw.

Downtown Raleigh has lots of restaurants and bars.
It also has the NC Museum of Natural Sciences
