You turn it off, it tells you daily it is uninstalled.

You let it lapse, it tells you daily it is lapsed.

You go to uninstall and the uninstall fails every time.

You go and delete every trace of Mcafee, every registry file and every folder or dll file you see. Run a third party scanner.

Finally pop-up stops, but now I get a "reinstall missing files" pop-up from Mcafee.

Seriously F these people, worse than any virus I have ever had to remove.

1. Go download iObit Uninstaller or something similar.

2. Uninstall through the app and then have it do a deep scan.

3. It will pull up a bunch of shite the program left behind in the registry and other places.

4. Hit a button and all that shite will be deleted too.

5. Prosper

I couldn't think of the name of REVO. the iObit one was the only one I remembered the name of.

As already posted, revo uninstaller is great for this type of thing.

Make a backup of your registry, run the advanced scan and delete everything it finds.
