To get a good signal with an over the air antenna? I'm in the city and I've tried several antennas. I can't find one that will stay tuned in without adjusting it. It's the only channel that does this.

It's a VHF signal.

Recently hooked this thing up that the previous owners had in the attic. Catches everything around and I down even have the plug for the amplifier

My antenna is in the attic hanging from the highest rafter. I catch everything without adjusting and I'm in Prairieville.

I have a Mohu 60 mounted on a mast all the way in the top of the attic. The slightest rotation and it will completely lose the signal. I ordered yet another antenna from Amazon. Waiting for it to arrive.

Channels 9 and 2 are VHF. Make sure your antenna does both. WAFB's transmitter is six miles south of Baton Rouge, close to WLPB's antenna. WBRZ's is across the river from Plaquemine. WVLA/WGMB is across the river just north of Plaquemine. Digital signals carry more information, and use less power to do it. I rather liked the analog methods, but the feds don't care what I think. So now you need good antennas, precisely pointed to pull in local channels.

One more thing. If the channels are in different directions from you, you can combine different antennas. I use a VHF and separate UHF antenna in the attic, each tied to a splitter (here acting as a combiner) and leading to my set. With digital, you can combine a number of antennas to hit your targets. Analog combinations would lead to ghosting and all sorts of RF rot.

Lastly, if at all possible get the antennas high up and outdoors. Altitude is everything.

That's the one I have and I get 20+ channels including WAFB in the TowneCenter area.

Anyone having any luck with an antenna in an attic with the radiant shield roof deck?

I can’t get WAFB and I have tried 3 different antennas.
